I’m Kevin Gordon – a Creative Technology Leader and Innovation Builder with 24 years of experience across Ford Motor Company, Worldpay, the Financial Ombudsman Service, and my own studio, Digital Technology Labs.

My career sits at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and hands-on technology. I’ve built teams and innovation functions from scratch, owned product roadmaps, launched world-first digital products, and run hackathon programmes across the UK and Europe. I hold 8 granted patents in digital, augmented and virtual systems.

At Worldpay, I led a 10-person innovation lab and launched the world’s first finger vein biometrics payment trial. I created Worldpay Within – an IoT payments SDK co-developed with Intel and Mastercard that anticipated today’s AI agent and autonomous payment protocols – and built AI chatbots and voice payment prototypes long before most enterprise teams were doing so.

At Ford, I created and built their creative technology team from the ground up, delivering motorshow apps, large-scale event activations, and a complete digital store overhaul.

More recently, I’ve led AI enablement and Developer Experience programmes, architected enterprise-scale platforms, and directed MVP delivery for brands including No7, WaterAid, and Screwfix.

I’m actively seeking a Head of Digital, Head of Creative Technology, or Director-level role where I can build something genuinely ambitious again.

Outside of work, I’m a maker at heart – you’ll find me 3D printing, building with LEGO, and finding any excuse to turn a complex technology idea into something you can hold in your hands.
