{"id":253,"date":"2023-06-03T12:18:15","date_gmt":"2023-06-03T11:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=253"},"modified":"2023-06-03T12:52:44","modified_gmt":"2023-06-03T11:52:44","slug":"throw-to-screen-configurator","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/portfolio\/throw-to-screen-configurator\/","title":{"rendered":"Configure &#038; throw to screen"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The challenge:&nbsp;<\/strong>We were looking for an interesting way to bring the latest configurator at Ford Motor Company to a large screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The solution:\u00a0<\/strong>With some clever tweaks to the configurator UI, and caching of higher resolution images for the HD screen, I built a clever solution that with a pull and push gesture of the car on the iPad, it would \u2018throw the car\u2019 to the screen, and as you swiped through the angles, the car would rotate. Qualitative feedback was very positive, we put the concept on hold until a new Configurator engine was built with high resolution imagery.
