{"id":241,"date":"2023-06-01T18:41:00","date_gmt":"2023-06-01T17:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/?post_type=portfolio&#038;p=241"},"modified":"2023-06-03T13:40:34","modified_gmt":"2023-06-03T12:40:34","slug":"augmented-reality-experiences","status":"publish","type":"portfolio","link":"https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/portfolio\/augmented-reality-experiences\/","title":{"rendered":"Ford Augmented Reality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The challenge:\u00a0<\/strong>The brief was to \u201cdo something cool\u201d with Augmented Reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The solution:&nbsp;<\/strong>After evaluating a number of different Augmented Reality platforms, I started building experiments in \u2018posters coming to life\u2019 with an initial still frame, being scanned by the Aurasma app, and then turning into the remainder of the video, which would stick to the poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/AR-postcard-1-1024x551.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-246\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/AR-postcard-1-1024x551.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/AR-postcard-1-300x161.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/AR-postcard-1-768x413.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/AR-postcard-1-1536x826.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.kevingordon.org.uk\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/AR-postcard-1.jpg 1688w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After several iterations I developed two proof of concepts, one for the Fiesta with a 3D fiesta that would pop up on a postcard, and you could move and rotate the postcard and the car would move.
